Grammar and Punctuation

This is my movie on grammar and punctuation. It was made on PowerPoint and then moved to iMovie to be turned into a movie with voiceover.

My movie is about grammar and punctuation. It describes parts of speech and when they are used correctly. It also tells how to correct sentences when parts of speech are not used correctly. My movie also shows punctuation and how to use it. It can tell you how to use commas, semi colons, periods, and other punctuation marks properly.

Who Am I?

I made a slideshow that describes the things I like and what makes me me. It includes things that are important to me, like my family, my pets, my favorite foods and my favorite things to do. Here it is:

Overall, I liked doing this project. I thought it was interesting to learn about iMovie and iPhoto. I liked gathering pictures that described me and the things I that are important to me. All of the pictures in my video represent a different part of what helps make me me.

This is the link to my rubric.

I am chicken patties, mashed potatos and Arizona green tea.
I am a guitar, ringing out chords.
I am two dogs, chasing down snowballs.
I am spiced ham sandwhich, with just mustard.
I am a bag of sour cream and onion chips, waiting to be opened.
I am the color red, seen on sweaters everywhere.
I am waves crashing down on the beach.
I am a basketball, being dribbled up and down the court.
I am a puzzle waiting to be solved.
I am a turtle statue, watching the world go by.
I am a radio, playing the newest songs.
I am my iPod, playing my favorite music.
I am a television, showing reruns of my favorite shows.
I am a football, soaring through the air for the winning touchdown.
I am a family, caring for everyone in it.
I am a book, opened to the first page.

Family Story

My mom always tells the story about how her brother lit a mattress on fire. It goes like this:
The ice cream man was outside, and my uncle needed a nickel to get an ice cream. He was searching all over the house until he found one under his bed. He wasn't sure where it was exactly, so he lit a match and went under the bed to get it. As he picked the nickel up, he noticed a strange smell. It was coming from the mattress that he had lit on fire with a match! So, he ran down the stairs and got a mug of water. He then ran back up the stairs and tried to put out the flame, repeating this until his older sister noticed. She followed my uncle upstairs and saw almost the whole mattress in flames. She called the fire department and they put out the flames, but, they needed a new mattress.
